Love to see you getting into different content like this! Love the political and propaganda stuff, but appreciate the rang too!

I'm from Wisconsin and actually worked in the game publishing world for about a decade, so this one was close to home. Loved the history (and even more on their podcast), but I think they were a little confused in describing the longer history of "games" and how the dnd paradigm fit in. There is a deep and very interesting philosophical discussion that was only crudely hinted at. The whole thing about "6 types of games" (or was it 9?) missed whole major classes of games and many game-like activities of very dnd-like world building play that have existed in courtly life and other places.

Anyhow, thanks for introducing me to this, I've already shared it around. Sorry for rambling comments!

I remember they had a 60 Minutes segment about it and needing to defend the game to my mom after she saw it.

I think that 60 minutes segment was what made it a phenomenon! That’s what they say on the pod.
